Spencer Bridge Engineering completed the restoration and replacement of seven truss ends on the Forth Road Bridge in Scotland back in 2018.  Our Bridges team implemented a unique sliding bearing system, strengthened tower cells, and modified the trusses to enhance accessibility for future maintenance.  The Forth Road Bridge project was particularly notable due to its location within a Site of Special Scientific Interest.  Throughout the project, we maintained close communication with the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency to ensure that our complex works had no adverse environmental effects. Last week I had my first on-site experience on a rope access project working on balustrade repairs on Menai Suspension Bridge with our client Spencer Bridge Engineering 🏗️ This was such a great insight into the versatility of rope access.
