Looks like even the perfect ŌURA sleep score can’t stop the occasional “payment failed” nightmare 🤔
Starting today, I’m introducing a new series on my blog: “Sorry, payment failed, try again” - #sorrypaymentfailed. We’ve all encountered these messages when trying to buy something online. Even when we have a working card with funds, payments sometimes still fail, and it’s incredibly frustrating. Although payments might seem like a straightforward commodity, they’re actually a critical revenue driver. That’s why payment efficiency should be a priority not only for every company selling online but also for their payment providers. For acquirers, minimizing declines is essential—this is where payment orchestration becomes crucial. As a longtime fan of ŌURA, I’ve had an active subscription for over two years, with a connected card and daily use of my Oura Ring 3. Recently, I tried upgrading to the Oura Ring 4, only to encounter the dreaded “payment failed” message. It looks like Oura could benefit from backup acquirers or payment orchestration, or perhaps their fraud rules need a bit of fine-tuning. ŌURA Tom Hale let's improve this together!
