It is such a good feeling to start a new week after being at the International Conference Dyes in History and Archaeology in Leeds. Meeting new researchers, sharing a hug with colleagues I met last year and learning more about #dyes, #dyeanalysis and #textileheritage from around the world has been an enriching experience.  I thank the organisers and the Society of Dyers and Colourists for giving me the opportunity to present part of my PhD research on lac dye colours and lac dyeing. Looking forward to seeing you all next year! 

Three days well spent in Leeds for the 43rd International Conference on Dyes in History and Archaeology (#DHA43). I am grateful the opportunity for not only presenting some of my favourite parts of my masters dissertation but also learning about the amazing work of my fellow delegates, both new and regular to the conference, admiring a few dyeing manuals from the collection of Society of Dyers and Colourists (I especially adore the handwritten type formulae for representing chemical compounds 😍), and catching up with friends and colleagues, and making new ones. I had the honour of being chosen as one of the three recipients of the Robert W G Hunt Poster Awards (https://lnkd.in/dCjVrgsq) by The Colour Group (GB) and the organising committee, for which I am extremely grateful 💙
