🌟SES Secure’s October Roundup🌟 As October draws to a close, we reflect on what’s been a hugely memorable month👏 From the Netherlands to the UK, our team had plenty of great moments over the past month. It’s been a time for supporting clients through crisis, collaborating with academic communities, and educating others on the current software landscape.   October kicked off with a trip to Amsterdam with our Operational Resilience Director, Mark Ryan, and Head of Technology, Tom Sweet, attending the annual SAMS Global Series Europe event. The event provided invaluable insights and connections. When SaaS (Software as a Service) initially arrived, some Escrow providers suggested that the Escrow Solutions used for on-premises software could also be applied to SaaS systems. Our Account Director, Tom Wheeler, joined the SES Secure team 6 and a half years ago and is nearing a decade of experience in the technology sector. Tom’s journey with us has seen him continuously improve and develop his level of expertise, knowledge, and service delivery. Through his work ethic and willingness to help others, Tom has established himself as an integral member of the team, and someone who gives their all to support both clients and colleagues👏 We recently spoke to Tom about life at SES, as well as his interest away from the workplace 👇 What’s your favourite thing about your role❔ “No two projects are the same, so solutions are designed and implemented in a bespoke way. This involves collaboration between multiple internal specialists to meet objectives. I really enjoy the sense of teamwork and progression that this process provides. Also, from a personal perspective, the role allows me to build new relationships within my existing client base as well net new clients, all whilst broadening my knowledge of their businesses and markets.” What’s a client project that stands out to you❔ “In a project with a financial client, we outlined two critical applications that would halt all business operations should there be any disruption. This was proactively addressed and as a result, we now receive and validate material deposits every quarter. This ensures that my client has an effective exit strategy should the Escrow be called upon. It’s been insightful to see how their continuity plan has evolved from what was a simple repository to now, a fully validated exit strategy.” Outside of the workplace, what do you like to do❔ “I love to keep fit, so I’m regularly in the gym. My wife and I also have a Golden Retriever who has a lot of energy, so we’re always out and about walking. This is a great way for us to spend some quality time together outside the responsibilities of our working lives. The East Cheshire Hospice is also close to my heart. It’s great for me to support an amazing charity group, that my mum is part of, at their events. Giving back is important for me, so having this opportunity is really meaningful.” What’s the best thing about being a part of the SES team❔ “A key part of success is building quality and lasting relationships, so having the chance to do this with both clients and an amazing internal team has been fantastic.
