    A month from today is Carers Rights Day 🗓 Did you know every day, 12,000 people become unpaid carers for a partner, family member or a friend – many without even realising it? This week, I'm encouraging my Linkedin contacts to start thinking about how better support employees with caring responsibilities. Here are a few ideas: 💡 Send an employee survey: try and get a better understanding of what support carers within your team need. Listening to employees is key to finding the right solutions. 💡Flexible working: although it might be a bigger task, start to review and implement flexible working arrangements. This could be from staggered hours to remote working to help balance work and care. 💡Education & awareness: at Seniorcare by Lottie, we're already encouraging partners to ramp up awareness about carers' rights, so everyone knows the options available and your employees feel supported. 💡Reshare your policies: this year's theme is ‘recognising your rights’ which relates to the Carer's Rights Act that came into effect in April. Reshare your policies or look into enhancing these if you haven't already. I'd love to hear what your organisation has planned. 💗
