AI, automation, new tech and budget-friendly hiring have dominated talks on LI and in the TA space. An extra hot topic was covered a lot at IHR: Hiring manager engagement. Here are a few simple tips from the various talks on improving hiring manager engagement. - Thorough role discovery sessions: Invest time in proper role analysis for each position and outline goals. - Set clear expectations upfront: Define hiring timelines and factors affecting time-to-hire and quality of hire. -Schedule weekly recruitment updates: 15-minute weekly meetings to review, update, address challenges, and keep everyone aligned. - Foster teamwork and stay open to new ideas: Engage is built by exploring new strategies, and prioritizing candidate experience, and communicating with each other. Once you have the foundations, start looking for tooling that can help collaboration, communication, and strategy.
