📣 Global tech firms CyrusOne, ServiceNow, CloudHQ, LLC and CoreWeave are investing £6.3 billion into UK data centres. This investment will give Britain the infrastructure to deploy the next generation of AI technologies, including complex machine learning models and algorithms. This will allow the UK to roll out AI in areas like healthcare faster, helping everyone live better and healthier lives. That takes total investment in data centres to over £25 billion since this government took office, further growing the economy and creating jobs across the UK.

Secretary of State Peter Kyle attended the Industry and Tech Ministerial G7 in Rome. He met with world leaders to strengthen democratic governance of digital and technology and to address the global opportunities and challenges presented by technological development. He also signed an agreement with US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo for the UK and US governments to work together to advance children's safety online. This includes the launch of a new joint online safety working group to share expertise on safety technology, promote greater platform transparency and consider the impact of new tech like generative AI. This will help ensure safety is built into technology from the start, delivering a more secure digital world for young people.
