We’ve recently welcomed a number of new followers and would like to take this opportunity to re-introduce the project to those of you who may not be up to speed. Salamander is an innovative floating wind development, located 35km off the coast of Peterhead. Our 100 MW site will build the Scottish supply chain’s experience in production of floating materials ahead of the wider ScotWind roll-out. As we look to create a sustainable energy future, Salamander will be a key contributor in the delivery of the Scottish Government’s target 11 GW of offshore wind by 2030, generating enough energy to power 100,000 homes. #Sustainability #LookingAhead #Innovation #FloatingWind

We've reached another huge milestone in our project journey, having now submitted our onshore consents applications.   Across two applications, submitted to Aberdeenshire Council and the Energy Consents Unit of the Scottish Government respectively, we outline our plans for the onshore components of our development. Today’s highly anticipated announcement of GB Energy’s headquarters brings a welcome renewables boost to Aberdeen.
