We've been proudly supporting Leicestershire County Cricket Club for many years now as corporate sponsors. As part of our business relationship, we sponsor LCCC keeper-batter Harry Swindells, and we like to keep updated with news from the club. We're delighted to hear that the Friends of Grace Road Society is holding their 9th Annual Quiz Night on Friday 15th November 2024, in the Charles Palmer Suite at Uptonsteel County Ground. The Fox Bar will be open from 6:30pm, with the quiz itself kicking off at 7:15pm. It costs £20 to enter a team of up to four people. We’re thrilled to announce that we have relocated to a brand new office in West Bridgford. Over the last few months, the Russell Scanlan team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to relocate our operations to a new space at Grove House in central West Bridgford - just a stone's throw away from our business partners at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club . We’ll certainly miss our neighbours and the wonderful community we were a part of for over 50 years at Wellington Circus - notably, our friends at the Nottingham Playhouse . But, following an exciting period of growth in the business, we felt it was the right time for a new adventure and a new chapter in our company's 144 year history. We’re still easily accessible, located in West Bridgford, Nottingham, and just a ten minute drive from our old offices. This spooky season, we’re asking you all to stay alert for 'Ghost Brokers' to prevent any Halloween nightmares 👻 A 'Ghost Broker' is someone who pretends to be a middleman for a well-known insurance company and claims to offer a legitimate policy at a significantly cheaper price. They operate by either forging insurance documents, falsifying your details to bring the price down, or even taking out a genuine policy on your behalf and then cancelling it. What makes these scams particularly damaging is that a person often won’t realise the policy is fake until they try to make a claim. As reports of 'Ghost Broking' have risen by 6% in the last year according to the Insurance Fraud Bureau, it's important you know what to look for. The City of London Police has a handy guide on its website, which offers tips and tricks on staying alert for 'Ghost Broking'.
