Following the success of our RSA 10K at Alton Towers in 2023, we set ourselves the challenge to get back out again this year supporting health and wellbeing across our business, as well as delivering on our Generosity value, by raising vital funds for our charity partner UK Youth. This time around, we decided to bring our running challenge to London and on Sunday we saw around 30 of our colleagues gather in the sun for the Regents Park Run. We’re pleased to share that our Claims Team in Jersey, part of Insurance Corporation Channel Islands (ICCI), were honoured with the ‘Storm Trooper’ award for going above and beyond in the midst of the challenges brought by Storm Ciaran. Storm Ciaran will be remembered as the most severe weather event in the history of our ICCI business. In November 2023, the storm tore through the Bailiwick of Guernsey and Jersey, causing devastation to homes, businesses and vehicles. Despite some team members being personally impacted, our claims team's response was immediate and decisive - ensuring our customers were supported every step of the way. Mark Marshall, Managing Director of ICCI, said: “I'm delighted to receive this on behalf of ICCI claims - what an amazing team! As a business, we follow a really simple mission which is to help people, businesses, and society prosper in good times and be resilient in bad - and that is exactly what we did. As they embark on this unique journey, here’s what they had to say: “We really look forward to uncovering history at RSA. Our mission is to maintain and research these collections, helping to distribute, donate and if necessary, dispose of items. The government has launched the second phase of their Stop! Think Fraud national campaign, which was previously delayed by the General Election. The campaign aims to: ✅ Educate the public on different fraud types and tactics ✅ Encourage everyone to take a moment to Stop! Think Fraud when encountering potential fraud situations ✅ Empower people with the tools to recognise and prevent fraudulent behaviour Fraud affects individuals across the UK, and this campaign is designed to reach all adults, raising awareness and providing vital resources to help everyone stay vigilant. Adele Sumner, our Head of Counter Fraud Strategy & Financial Crime, said: "This campaign is a crucial step in the fight against fraud. By educating and empowering the public, we can create a society that's better equipped to recognise and respond to fraudulent activities, reducing its impact on individuals and businesses alike."
