At Ridgeview, we believe in fostering a culture of openness, support, and understanding around menopause in the workplace. We're committed to raising awareness and want to encourage other organisations and individuals to join us on this journey. We spoke to three team members who are instrumental in driving this change. Katharine, our Head of People & Development stated that “One in 10 women who experience menopausal symptoms have left employment because of these difficulties, that therefore it means it is critical to create a supportive working environment where everyone feels comfortable discussing menopause. We are currently #MenopauseCommitted and are actively collaborating with all our workforce on how we can support them; be it those experiencing symptoms or those who are working with them.” Karolina, Ridgeview’s People & Well-being Co-Ordinator, continued: "Support goes beyond policies – colleagues can make a huge difference by being empathetic and informed. Small gestures of understanding can have a big impact on someone's well-being." "Having leadership actively support these conversations is crucial. It sets the tone for the entire organisation and encourages others to engage openly,” added Esther, Tamara’s Executive Assistant.
