2024 #QuadcopterChallenge update >>> Current stage: Regional Final! The penultimate stage of the competition has arrived. Over the next two weeks, the teams will go head-to-head with other local groups to be crowned regional winner and earn a place at the national final.

A few weeks ago, our super STEM ambassadors finished a bustling summer of activities with a bang, at the brilliant Royal Air Force Air Cadets National Air & Space Camp. It was our 7th year attending the week-long camp. The highlight was the industry day, which saw over 1,100 cadets take part – the largest RAF Air Cadet activity this year! Cadets came from far and wide - from the Scottish Highlands to the island of Jersey, and we took our 380th cadet through our activities. Wing Commander M Brayford said: “Our cadets have a wide range of interests, and it’s a common misconception that they all aspire to join the military – the majority pursue civilian careers, making them the next generation of engineers, pilots, astronauts, and aerospace professionals. They rely on external partners for inspiration, guidance, or career pathways.”

In celebration of #WorldSpaceWeek, here’s 3 facts you may not know about our LOCI system: ➡️ Roughly 40% of all catalogued satellites pass through the field of view of our LOCI sensors. That’s around 12,000 objects! ➡️ To date, LOCI has detected more than 11,000 unique objects – that’s more than 90% of objects within our field of view. ➡️ LOCI generates around 50,000 observations every month, and this is increasing as we expand our capability.
