We're very sad to announce the cancellation of PyCon UK 2024. We've been hit by a perfect storm of factors that have made it impossible for us to run the conference this year - not least of which being the venue becoming unavailable due to renovation work uncovering more than was expected. We're very sorry to have to make this decision, and we know that it will be disappointing for many of you.
About us
PyCon UK is a volunteer-organised conference, staged by UKPA Trading Ltd on behalf of The UK Python Association. This year’s conference runs Friday 22nd till Monday 25th September at Cardiff City Hall. The conference will consist of three days of talks and workshops Friday to Sunday and a sprints day on Monday. Each year, we make an effort to ensure that PyCon UK is as welcoming, accessible, and inclusive as possible, and try to find new ways to make it even more so. We offer a free crèche, a quiet room for breastfeeding, talks in the main hall will feature simultaneous speech-to-text transcription and a separate quiet room for use by any conference attendee. For those under the age of 18 who would like to attend the conference itself, you are more than welcome but you will need an adult chaperone. Our tickets are for over 18s only but each one entitles the holder to accompany up to two under 18s. A Young Coders’ Day will also take place on Saturday 23rd September - a Young Coders’ ticket is for one young person and an accompanying adult to attend the Young Coders' Day at PyConUK. Each adult may accomp adult is responsible for the Young Coders at all times.
