Large proportions of global supplies of nine of our essential commodities are produced at sites that are increasingly vulnerable to climate change. This includes food crops that account for 42% of the calories people eat, and minerals and metals that are critical to transportation, construction, manufacturing, electronics, and the green transition. Explore the percentages of production capacity for each commodity that may be disrupted by growing heat stress and drought - even if global carbon emissions sharply decline - then read the full report: https://pwc.to/3xPNrRv #ClimateAdaptation #ClimateRisks #KeyCommodities

Among organisations that are implementing, or have implemented, a customer transformation initiative, there are statistically significant differences between market winners, laggards, and those in between. The key differences relate to how market winners perceive challenges, how they craft business cases to implement customer transformation, how they use technologies like AI, and how they address people and organisation challenges. 🚨 Top-performing organisations are considerably more likely than their peers to have a clear ecosystem strategy and to derive a significant portion of their revenue from ecosystems. However, a recent survey from PwC Deutschland has shed light on a problem that may prevent companies from maximising the potential of these kinds of collaborations: a lack of empowerment on the part of ecosystem managers. Scroll through the three ways boards and the C-suite can give ecosystem managers the agency they need to achieve better outcomes, then explore them in more depth: https://pwc.to/3QMDmvm #Ecosystems

The rewards to companies that manage the climate transition sensibly can be great. Research by Professor George Serafeim and his colleagues at Harvard Business School shows that firms transitioning their product portfolio toward climate solutions experience a revenue growth premium over their competitors. But capturing these benefits isn’t easy. To implement effective climate-transition strategies, executives may need to overcome challenges such as unproven customer demand and underdeveloped supply chains. In his new article for strategy+business, Professor Serafeim poses ten questions that can help leaders determine where their companies stand with respect to these challenges, and which strategic moves they may want to explore: https://lnkd.in/egRvvSut #sustainability
