[ad] Social media marketers deserve a seat at the leadership table → there, I said it 👋✨🚨 Because social media’s business value is SO much bigger than marketing. ↳It’s a huge play in your customer service approach. ↳ it’s a major loyalty builder. ↳ It creates and retains your biggest brand fans - contributing so much more than just new customers to your business. 🎙️🎙️🎙️ But most marketers don’t have the investment they need to make a real impact. And without real impact, they’re never able to prove their value. And if they can’t prove their value, they can’t get the investment they need to make a real impact. And without real impact, they’re never able to - yeah, okay, you get it. It’s a cycle - and once you’re on it, you can’t get off. Until today. Hootsuite and I want to help you prove your value to your boss, get more budget and value for your social team → and remind CEOs that today’s followers are tomorrow’s buyers. 👋✨💸 Step one: learn your boss's language. What matters to them most? Acquisition, expansion and retention. Step two: use data to evidence your impact. Whether it’s numerical metrics or sentiment, show how and where you’re driving business. Step three: master market research. Imagine being able to tell your boss how customers will react to a new product before it launches. Keeping your finger on trends through social listening tools and techniques - and being able to tie them to your business and goals will be a big one here. Step four: download Hootsuite’s How to Get More Budget for Social cheatsheet here → https://ow.ly/9cYH50SA01P Social media marketers, you rock. And it’s about time your leadership teams recognised it. #AD #HootsuitePartner

Instagram have confirmed they're NOT interested in the long-form content game 👀👋 Shared yesterday in a Reel from Instagram's chief, Adam Mosseri, long-form's not a priority for the platform. You see, Instagram have two objectives: → connecting you with friends → and helping you explore your interests. Three objectives if you count their mission to squash organic reach and make marketers across the globe scream every time they open the app, but that's a post for another day... According to Mosseri, short-form video and their two objectives go hand in hand. But as for long-form, "if you watch a 10 or 20 minute video, you see less content from your friends and interact with them less" - it's not symbiotic with their objectives. So, it's not happening → they're leaving the hour long video tests to TikTok, it seems. I guess IGTV isn't coming back anytime soon (remember that relic?) What do you guys think? Will they back-track eventually? Would you watch long-form on Instagram? 🎙️💸👀
