I had a fantastic experience attending the Electric Vehicle Maritime Safety Conference today . The event, organized by Port Skills and Safety and the UK Chamber of Shipping , covered essential safety concerns around lithium-ion batteries and electric vehicles in maritime environments. Key highlights included Paul Christensen talk on lessons learned from lithium-ion battery fires and Martin Brown insightful session on the risks posed by new energy vectors in future transport. The panel discussions on current maritime risks and safety, as well as case studies from industry leaders like Peel Ports Group and CalMac Ferries Limited , were truly eye-opening. A huge thank you to the organizers and all the speakers for such an informative and engaging event. #EVMaritimeSafety #LithiumIonSafety #MaritimeInnovation #ElectricVehicles
