Last week, the NOF team had the privilege of visiting the Port of Blyth as guests of Olivia Patton and Niamh Dougan. During our visit, we were impressed by the remarkable capabilities of the clean energy cluster centred around the Blyth Estuary. A highlight was boarding the HST Grace for an incredible trip to see the Blyth Offshore Windfarm. From the boat, we could see lots of NOF member companies including TEXO, The Wind Academy, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Osbit, JK LIFTING EQUIPMENT LTD, Enshore Subsea. 🌊 We also received a highly informative presentation from the Energy Central Campus (ECC) team, learning about their mission to create the pipeline of talent essential for the expanding clean energy sector. ♻ Some of our team even participated in forklift training with Port Training Services, gaining hands-on experience. 👷🏼♀️🦺 The tour concluded with a visit to Tom Nightingale MCIM at Equinor, who provided valuable insights on the exciting developments at Dogger Bank and across the North Sea. It was great to host members of the NOF team at the Port of Blyth this morning, where they onboarded the HST Grace for an exciting river trip along the Blyth Estuary! 🛥️ The NOF team were able to see first-hand some of the impressive capabilities of the Port of Blyth including the clean energy cluster of companies around the Blyth Estuary and the Blyth Offshore Windfarm! Following the river trip, NOF team were given an insightful presentation from members of the Energy Central Campus (ECC) team, Paul Valentine and Sharon Foster, learning more about ECC and their mission to create the pipeline of talent required for the expanding clean energy sector!
