Today is World Mental Health Day which provides the opportunity to raise awareness and promote mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. 🧠 At Port of Blyth, our employees are our most valuable assets, and we pride ourselves on creating a supportive working environment where our employees can continuously develop, both personally and professionally. This year, we have been working towards achieving the Better Health at Work Award and have invested significantly in supporting mental health in the workplace, through a series of initiatives including: • Regular email campaigns on key wellbeing topics. • Hosted wellbeing events such as our Staff Breakfast Club. • Recruited a team of Health Advocates & Mental Health First Aiders to provide support and refer staff to relevant resources, advice, and information. • Continued to offer our BUPA private health cover to all employees, which provides ongoing, around-the-clock support for a wealth of mental health conditions. This #WorldMentalHealthDay let's remind ourselves and our colleagues that it's okay not to be okay and to speak to someone if you are struggling. #WMHDAY2024 #NoMindLeftBehind

TEXO Brand Executive Alan Conway spent yesterday afternoon with the new T-Level students from Bede Academy to check out their new state of the art facility at the Energy Central Learning Hub at the Port of Blyth along with giving a full interactive presentation on engineering and the energy sector . “The building is outstanding and designed to support not only the training and educational sector but the community itself with the visitor centre opening soon. We believe working with local schools and academies gives us the opportunity to inspire the next generation of engineers, who could be designers or the men and women who will build this wonderful equipment," Alan Conway said. "TEXO is extremely proud to support the next generation of engineers. We hope to interview the students we meet for apprentice or graduate roles in the future." “Students on the T Level course were yet again inspired by Alan Conway from TEXO this afternoon. An inspirational 90 minute lecture on what TEXO do, the offshore and renewables industries, and the opportunities waiting for our young people. Students demonstrated engagement through regular questioning and focus on the responses from Alan. Students are proud of the links we have with TEXO and proudly wear their T Level uniform branding the TEXO logos. Students need more and more opportunities to hear from our local and national companies, where inspiration is bottled and delivered to young people on the variety of engineering sectors. Alan's presentation to students demonstrates this vision." – Mark Davies, AVP - Post 16 Technical, Bede Academy. Congratulations to our tenant, JK LIFTING EQUIPMENT LTD, on their new head office, Lift Point House, based in Killingworth! 🎉 This new facility is a fantastic addition to the area, providing the team with additional space and increased capacity for lifting, testing, inspecting and manufacturing. JK Lifting will continue to provide their services at the Port of Blyth and from their new headquarters. Good luck to the JK Lifting team!
👀 Behind-the-scenes. Here’s a sneak peek of our new headquarters, Lift Point House. Based in the former Metnor House building on the Camperdown Industrial Estate in Killingworth, we have now officially moved in! Over the past few months, we’ve been incredibly busy remodelling the premises to our exact specifications. The building now gives us increased capacity and added space to test and inspect bigger loads and manufacture larger bespoke solutions. It’s all coming together, and we’re excited to now be fully operational from our new base in North Tyneside. 📸 Here’s a behind-the-scenes shot of our team on day one of our next chapter. Onwards and upwards 🚀 #LiftingNews #LiftingEquipment #TestAndInspection

We were appointed by Heerema Marine Contractors as their decommissioning subcontractor for the three redundant North Sea gas platforms Audrey A, Audrey and Ensign. This project really pushed the boundaries of traditional demolition so it was paramount that we were able to build positive collaborative relationships with other key stakeholders. The outcome? On time, on budget, and accident-free. Thank you for the feedback 👏 #collaboration #demolition #offshore
