Peter had this to say about Elmhurst's intermediate care after his recent stay: "The staff here have been wonderful - we are all treated with the utmost respect and nothing is too much trouble for the team, who are all very professional and kind to us, in our efforts to get mobile again and regain our independence. Ultimately their goal is to get us home, acknowledging that our safety is paramount. I cannot speak too highly about the efforts of the team; I would like to thank each member of staff and echo the sentiments of the other residents I have had the pleasure of meeting. I would sincerely recommend Elmhurst as a short stay place of recovery." Our staff make every effort to find out what makes people happy and do what they can to make that happen. Because what's important to the people we support, is important to us. Janet was so worried about leaving Annie at home alone all day that she nearly cancelled her weekly visits to Grundy Hub. So our manager, Anna, made a home visit to meet Annie and agreed that she could come in with Janet. Grundy Hub Get Social is a friendly place in Bury where people can come and meet new friends, try new things or just read the paper in company and have a tasty meal.
