Congratulations to our India group, led by partners Phillip D'Costa and Pat Saini, which has been recognised as a ‘Key Player’ in the India Business Law Journal’s Top Foreign Law Firms in 2024 report. The publication, which is now in its 18th year, draws on analysis of over 600 law firms from across the globe, to rank the top international law firms for India-related work. This result moves our ‘dynamic and blossoming practice’ up a tier from last year’s report, with reference to ‘our practice specialisations, outstanding delivery, and knowledge of the subtleties and nuances of doing business in India’. In June of this year, Phillip D’Costa was also named as part of the IBLJ’s International A-list for 2024, which recognises the top international lawyers with ‘a profound understanding of India’s intricacies, the needs of Indian clients, and… strong connections within the Indian legal community’. Commercial dispute resolution partner, John Adams, will be speaking at the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime, on Wednesday 4 September. John will feature as part of a panel of international experts including lawyers from the US, Italy, Dubai and Argentina, in a session titled ‘Tracing suspect wealth through the civil law – the investigation’. ‘Suspect assets’, and the identification, interdiction, and control of suspect wealth is the central theme of this year’s symposium, now in its 41st year. Over 2,000 participants from across more than 100 countries are expected to attend, to discuss and provide practical insight on the prevention and control of economically motivated crime and misconduct.
