Support for Purposeful Business, Social Innovation, Social Enterprise, Public & Vol Sector and a more Inclusive Economy
I'm so proud to have been supporting OSEP over the past 10 years and now see the organisation very well-established, with an excellent reputation. Over that period, it has successfully raised awareness of the significance of social enterprise, enterprising charities, social entrepreneurs (including students) and purposeful businesses, have on the local economy and in addressing the pervasive social and environmental challenges we all face. As well as influencing local strategies and policies, it has also delivered a number of extremely successful support programmes for the sector. As more and more businesses and local authorities understand the opportunities to deliver more social value, OSEP has also begun developing powerful partnerships with key local stakeholders including businesses and local authorities to help maximise these opportunities. At this exciting time, OSEP is looking to recruit two new director to its board. Interested, then please read on. Trustees at Charlbury Community Workshop are making great use of their council grant, supporting local residents' wellbeing through crafting, repurposing and socialising. The hub opened in the spring and our connected communities fund means they are now looking to expand the services to support even more people. Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action and Community First Oxfordshire not only administer the finances but also offer additional advice and support to help the money go as far as possible. Read more about how the fund is helping to embed our Oxfordshire Way vision to support people to live well and independently within their own communities. https://lnkd.in/eNmATm7K

What is an Active Neighbourhood Scan ❓ Active Neighbourhood Scans are aimed at identifying and implementing small public space improvements to encourage physical activity among residents in various priority neighbourhoods across Oxfordshire. 📍 They involve evaluating different routes within priority areas to assess the ease of walking, wheeling, and overall activity. Undertaken in collaboration with residents, community groups, schools, planners, and developers, these scans provide crucial insights for making collective changes to boost activity levels in these communities. 📋 They aim to complement the Community Ward profiles and the Well Together Programme, facilitated by Oxfordshire County Council Healthy Oxon, Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action , Community First Oxfordshire, and the NHS Buckinghamshire Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board. 🎨 By sharing knowledge and resources, these collaborative efforts strive to create healthier, more active neighbourhoods without duplicating existing work. 🤝 Read more on the article below, and keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming announcement about the next location to be revealed very soon 👀 https://lnkd.in/e4HTBF3W
