Open Cosmos has officially signed a contract as a European rideshare provider for In-Orbit Demonstration and Validation (IOD/IOV) services under the EU Horizon Europe programme. By leveraging current missions, we’re making space more accessible and affordable—supporting innovation with rapid and secure rideshare opportunities. Los Angeles is experiencing a devastating wildfire crisis, including the Palisades Fire, which has burned over 23,700 acres, claimed 24 lives, and destroyed more than 12,000 structures, displacing 105,000 residents. This satellite image, captured by Hammer on January 11, 2025, reveals the extent of the destruction. Satellites play a vital role in addressing wildfires, from early detection to post-disaster impact assessment. Leveraging near-real-time satellite imagery can help improve disaster prevention and recovery efforts. This event took place on January 13-14 in Athens, and once again we saw how vibrant the Greek ecosystem is. The event, supported by the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance, Hellenic Space Center, European Space Agency - ESA, and the European Union, brought together key players in the space industry.
