Read this post on Neurodiversity written by our founder, Max Freer!👇 "I am thrilled to join the board of Trustees for I am Main, a neurodiverse charity specialising in Autism based in North Ormesby, Middlesbrough. I bring significant experience of living daily and dealing with Neurodiversity. My elder sister Heather is non-verbal and is on the extreme spectrum of Autism. I grew up a child carer to Heather and now I am her legal Guardian. I have lived the highs and the lows of Society’s barriers to Neurodiversity from a child witnessing my parents battle for support to an adult. Today I AM Heather’s voice, her advocate, and her Guardian🖐️ There is a lack of Education on neurodiversity. Too few respite facilities for families, insufficient education settings for children, lack of access to job opportunities for young people, lack of lifelong living support for individuals with neurodiversity, and a lack of resources for screening neurodiversity in children and adults. Is business like a sport?⚽🏅 Our founder, Max Freer, would say it is. It takes a lot of sweat, preservation, and a lot of practice at your craft. Max has had a very successful corporate career working in London, Manchester, and Newcastle in the media industry before she had her own company. "I’ve been an agency owner for over 20 years and there’s not much I have not done or seen, I would say the agency arena like the media industry can at times be seen as overly glorified and made seemingly easy to get into. It’s not, it’s hard work. Being successful and being sustainable are two different aspects of business. In today’s noisy social media, business is vanity vs sanity the vanity of what it looks like on social and the sanity behind closed doors of what it feels like. I've learnt that success in business is taking time out, a walk in the morning for clarity focuses my mind, on the goals of the day, that week, the remaining month, and what needs to be accomplished in the year.
