The UK’s largest music therapy charity, we break through with the power of music
About us
Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, we break through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. We do this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of our work.

Racism and Islamophobia has absolutely no place in our society. Our statement in full: The riots and violence being perpetrated by far-right groups is truly devastating. The racism and Islamophobia driving this has absolutely no place in our society. We work through music to bring people together to connect and flourish within their communities. This includes work in refugee and asylum centres. Our clients, colleagues and the partner organisations we work in have all been disrupted by these inexcusable acts, and the communities they are in have been left bearing the scars. Although this is a hugely distressing time, we are witnessing people coming together, sharing compassion and collectiveness in the community. We stand in solidarity with you, firmly against this violence and hatred.
