🏥 Today, we were honoured to welcome the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Neil Gray, to University Hospital Monklands, to hear about the innovative approaches being taken to improving health services in Lanarkshire. 👂 In the visit, Mr Gray heard from our staff about how we are building on a robust, evidence-based system that ensures patients are cared for safely, efficiently, and with absolute confidence. 🎯 A focal point of the meeting was hearing an update on the work of our Interface Directorate. Led by Trudi Marshall, the Directorate is driving and influencing improvements, collaboration, cohesion and communication the ‘interface’ – across all components of the healthcare system, from primary, hospital and community care. 📽️ One aspect of this work, Flow Navigation Centre Plus, was brought into sharp focus with the screening of a short film, which you can watch here: https://lnkd.in/eYnZzCb5 🧁 Marlyn’s story gives a glimpse of an approach - combining ingredients of technology, cohesion and compassion - which is to be scaled up in Lanarkshire soon. 🤝 The meeting, hosted by our Chair, Martin Hill, and our Chief Executive, Professor Jann Gardner, was also attended by representatives across the wider health and care system. This included respective Chief Officers of North and South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnerships, Claire Rae and Professor Soumen Sengupta, as well as leaders and clinical staff from across #TeamLanarkshire. #New University Hospital Monklands 🌐 For more information on interface, see: https://lnkd.in/eMrgsauu
