London Waterloo has become our first station directly managed by Network Rail to win an Autism Friendly Award after the creation of a video guide to help people travel with confidence. 🎥 Charity The National Autistic Society granted us the award, for which businesses must meet certain standards and follow a framework to demonstrate to customers their business offers an autism-friendly environment and service. The Autism Friendly Award is an accreditation programme set up by the National Autistic Society to help businesses play their part to create more welcoming environments and make a difference to the lives of autistic people throughout the UK. The charity noted that Waterloo gives a lot of information for autistic visitors coming to the station. This includes a video guide designed to support journey planning, give customers a clearer picture of the station before they travel, and reduce anxiety: 📺 https://lnkd.in/eBWwRFAt You can read our autism-friendly guide here online. We've designed it to show and tell you about some of the things you can expect to see while you’re using the railway. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ejsHgNUB #autism #autismfriendly
