Apprentice to Accounts Assistant 🚀 Josh Mellor has completed his apprenticeship, gaining a Level 2 finance qualification 📚 Josh provides accounts support to the business ranging from assisting the commercial department with supplier invoice dispute resolution to liaising with suppliers and customers externally regarding payments and invoicing. We asked Josh a few questions ….. ❓What is the best thing about your job? Constantly learning new things about my role and picking up new day to day jobs and working with colleagues. ❓Why do you like working at Killingley? The people! Everyone is very welcoming and happy to help making my job much easier. ❓Is the job what you expected? I didn’t really know what to expect when I first started not knowing much about the role, but 2 years here now and I still enjoy it very much. Pathways Of Chesterfield are a local charity who provide support for the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. Our recent staff donation appeal provided them with some necessary items of food, water, snacks and toiletries. Pathways rely on donations to provide provisions to the people they support. We will be doing another appeal in Autumn for winter essentials. Yesterday members of our pre construction and delivery teams attended a tour of Boningale Ltd nurseries with British Association of Landscape Industries 🌱 This was a tour of Bonigale’s propagation facility and main nursery, to get a deeper understanding of how nurseries are run, and the biosecurity, plant health and specification considerations that come with the distribution and growing of planting stock for commercial and domestic landscaping projects all around the UK 🇬🇧 🌱🪻🌼🌱 #landscaping #plants #planthealth #domesticlandscaping #commerciallandscaping #cpd

Yesterday Sam Cartwright headed to Lady Manners School, Bakewell for their World of Work Week 🦺 Sam delivered an inspiring talk to Y10 students about the UK construction industry, and all the different types of roles available. This included his journey in construction and the pathways for students to get into our industry.
