MYCOM OSI is delighted to share the results of an FTTx Assurance survey. In response to the surge in consumer and enterprise demand for OTT, VR, AR, and hi-definition streaming services, Communications Service Providers (CSPs) are rapidly expanding their Fixed Broadband offerings. However, maintaining high performance and 100% uptime for both the underlying fiber network and broadband service is critical. This survey aimed to identify the challenges faced by CSPs in achieving this goal and understand their priorities for preventing service disruptions, customer churn, and negative public perception. The survey by MYCOM OSI and Analysys Mason covered 50 Tier-1 CSPs from across the globe. We are excited to announce our first success in supporting the evolution of Autonomous Networks Levels 3 and 4, using automation enhancements in our FTTx Assurance Solution. Our Automation Solutions for all technologies (4G, 5G, FTTx etc), based on our AutoExpert application framework, will continue to support CSPs as they move from level 4 to level 5 of Autonomous networks. I just returned from Inflexion’s tech summit that brought together tech, product and #digital leaders from portfolio companies. I had the privilege to sit on a panel discussing the challenges and strategies for scaling #Tech and #innovation teams. Thank you Alfonso Ferrandez for the excellent moderation and Neil Dodgson for the engaging discussion. Some of my takeaways from the discussions: 1/ #GenAI has a massive transformation potential for businesses. #LLMs are evolving at high speed with O1 outsmarting the best PHD experts (GPQ 78% Vs 60%). Cost of LLM tokens is dropping by more than 80% per year, making the #API calls model commercially viable. Current GenAI applications that work are Co-pilots and Retrievals because they are tolerant to hallucinations and failures and can be progressively enhanced by #AI. What is coming next includes Hybrid voice/graphical #UI and low code #Analytics tools and in the medium term Process #Automation. In this context, our newly launched GenAie application at MYCOM OSI with its « Talk to Your Network » use case holds fantastic promise to transform #Telco operations. 2/ Adopt a data driven approach to managing #engineering projects. Set clear #productivity #KPIs with consistent automated reporting at every sprint. Empower the agile teams to exploit this data and derive self improvement plans. 3/ Cyber attackers want to spend minimal effort. Be diligent on basic #Cybersecurity Hygiene and they will leave you in peace to look for cheaper preys. 80% less insurance claims with Cyber Essentials. 4/ Maintain two separate roadmaps. A long term flexible product #roadmap and a short term stable engineering roadmap. MYCOM OSI is delighted to announce new leadership today. Andrew Coll has been appointed as Chairman of the Board and Charles Bligh as its new Chief Executive Officer. Charles Bligh is a seasoned senior leader and brings over 30 years of experience within senior leadership roles in the IT and Telecoms industry globally. He has led multiple global teams at IBM for over 20 years across IT services, software and technology. As a main Board Director and COO of a UK service provider TalkTalk, Charles had responsibility for the teams supporting consumer, B2B and wholesale customers as well as managing the IT/Network operations. More recently, Charles was the CEO of a UK listed business service company.   In the last 5 years as CEO, Andrew Coll has successfully led MYCOM OSI in investing heavily in a new SaaS platform, launching a range of AI, GenAI and Automation applications and solutions to support large CSP networks.
