Muehlhan Wind Service's Canada-based daughter company Energy Wind & Renewables LTD. is making excellent progress on a major project! The EWR team are currently installing Vestas V162 Enventus turbines at the Winnifred Wind Project in Alberta, Canada. The team have passed the halfway point of the project, with 14 of the 22 planned turbines already installed. Once completed, the wind farm will have an installed capacity of around 136 MW. Did you know that the Viking Wind Farm is one of the largest onshore wind farms in the UK? With a total of 103 Vestas V117 4.3MW turbines spread across the Central Mainland of the Shetland Islands in Scotland, the farm has an installed capacity of around 443 MW. ⚡ This means that the farm can generate enough electricity to power roughly 475,000 homes — more than the total number of homes in the Shetland Islands. ⚡ Since 2023, we have undertaken a wide range of rope access works: blade repair, tower repairs, application of trailing edge serrations, general rope access snagging works, nacelle repairs, as well as an extensive tower paint repair in a habitat.
