We’re excited to introduce a new British Food Module as part of our Kids Foodmaker & Shopkeeper Tours! Youngsters will now learn where their food comes from, how supporting British farmers makes a difference, and why fresh, local produce is better for the planet. 🌍 Our tours swap the classroom for Market Street, where children can meet our skilled butchers, bakers, and fishmongers, and discover the journey from farm to fork! #Morrisons #BritishFood #SupportingFarmers #KidsEducation #FreshFood

At Morrisons, we understand the dedication it takes to produce great food - we work closely with farmers and growers every day. But as a retailer, we also see firsthand the food insecurity in many of our communities. That's why we're committed to reducing food waste and making sure surplus food goes to those who need it most, not to waste. Through our partnership with the food redistribution charity FareShare UKand delivery experts Newton, we're now donating surplus carrots from our Flaxby manufacturing site (still perfectly good to eat) to FareShare centres, where they’re sorted and distributed to those in need. This is just one part of our ongoing commitment to working with fantastic charities that help redistribute surplus food from our sites to support communities across the UK.

What a week it’s been! A huge shout-out to our fantastic Technology team for their incredible efforts in raising over £3,400 as part of our final push for The 54 Challenge! This has truly been a huge team effort, and we couldn’t have done it without the hard work and dedication of our colleagues in Technology who made it all possible. Their creativity and commitment have been nothing short of amazing. This week’s activities included a bake sale, a swear jar, a silent auction, and the best raffle we’ve had in a long time! The dedication of the team has truly shone through, and it’s all for a cause that’s close to our hearts – supporting our charity partner, Together for Short Lives. We’d also like to give a special thank you to our generous suppliers and local businesses for their support, making this fundraising effort even more impactful. A massive thank you to our suppliers Tata Consultancy Services Mastek Oracle Softcat plc Gamma Orderly Zebra Technologies NCR Corporation And our Local Businesses Bradford Council Bradford Bulls RLFC Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Club Murgatroyds Fish & Chip Restaurant Pranzo Italian Group Leeds Knights. The contributions and collaboration have made all the difference in helping us support such an important cause. Let’s keep the momentum going and raise as much as we can in this final push! Together, we’re making a real impact for children and families supported by Together for Short Lives.
