🌱 SBEG, alongside local partners including South Bank BID, WeAreWaterloo Business Improvement District (BID), London Borough of Lambeth, and Southwark Council, were delighted to launch ‘South Bank and Waterloo Sustains Us’ last Thursday.
‘South Bank and Waterloo Sustains Us’ is a collaborative initiative aiming for a fairer, greener neighbourhood for all, inviting residents, businesses, and local organisations to join us in transforming our area.
The launch, which took place at Sustainable Ventures in County Hall, showcased the range of activity taking place in our neighbourhood, and the opportunities available for all local partners to get involved.
Many thanks to our speakers on the evening, who included:

💡 Giles Goddard, Chair of the Sustains Us Steering Group and Vicar at St John’s Waterloo, who outlined our vision for a community that supports and sustains us all
💡 Bushra Iqbal, Principal of the Waterloo Centre, provided updates on Morley College London's commitment to sustainability, highlighting the extensive engagement in green practices among staff, students, and the local community
💡 Andrea Zick (She/Her), Chair of the Harvey Nichols Sustainability Forum, shared lessons from how the OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie has reduced food waste by 50%
