The statistics are staggering: 81% of refugee women remain unemployed five years after their arrival. This figure underscores the urgent need for initiatives like this. By providing access to technology and fostering mentorship and networking opportunities, we're helping to bridge this gap and create brighter futures for these women. [Capital at risk] Good news for the UK after the #economy returns to growth in January. “It's noteworthy that sectors like construction, retail, and wholesale have contributed to this growth, showing pockets of resilience within the economy. Yet, it's crucial for fiscal policy to address underlying issues such as high inflation and sluggish growth, which have been persistent challenges” comments our Chief Investment Officer, Richard Flax. “The news of this slight rebound in growth comes as a relief particularly to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who has pledged to revitalize the economy. Despite facing challenges such as a workforce crisis, where nearly 9.25 million people of working age are now economically inactive, the expansion in GDP is a positive indicator” Flax notices. However, “the larger story here is the underlying stagnation in the economy, and therefore concerns remain on future output and the economy’s resilience amidst ongoing challenges.” Will the recently announced Spring Budget help boost the British economy? “The Chancellor's recent budget statement suggested optimism about the economy's trajectory, indicating a turnaround from the slowdown experienced due to measures aimed at curbing inflation. Nel panel moderato da Gianfranco Ursino Il Sole 24 Ore ho avuto il piacere di discutere degli impatti che l'entrata in vigore dell'importante Retail Investment Strategy (RIS) potrebbe avere sui settori dell'asset e del wealth management insieme a esperti come il commissario CONSOB Federico Cornelli, Rosa Guida della Vigilianza Banca d'Italia, il CEO di Azimut Italia Paolo Martini, e il Vicedirettore Generale Wealth Management di Generali Andrea Enrico Ragaini. Nel paper di PwC da cui ha preso le mosse l’incontro ci sono dati significativi su cui riflettere e ne cito alcuni: - solo il 17% del patrimonio degli investitori retail in Europa è investito sui mercati finanziari (negli Stati Uniti è il 43%) - costi degli investimenti spesso ingiustificati erodono i rendimenti nel tempo: nel 2021 gli investitori al dettaglio hanno speso il 40% in più degli investitori istituzionali - il 45% dei cittadini europei non ha fiducia negli intermediari finanziari, che non ritiene operare nel loro interesse finale Per i #risparmiatori interessati ad approfondire, qui è possibile leggere il paper: https://lnkd.in/eEvBikAe Non ci sono certamente soluzioni facili ma abbiamo molta fiducia nel lavoro della Commissione Europea e nello spirito che anima la RIS, di cui da sempre condivido l’obiettivo: accrescere l’accesso e la fiducia degli investitori al dettaglio nei mercati finanziari. Credo che l'industria del risparmio sia chiamata a raccogliere la sfida e a evolversi in termini di digitalizzazione dei servizi, semplicità, accessibilità, trasparenza dell’informazione e costi in chiaro.
