Behind-the-Scenes of a successful hackathon: We’ve seen how defining a clear problem statement can be a driving force for problem-solving, especially for hackathons. For example, one of our clients wanted to use a hackathon as a “springboard” to foster innovative ideas, solve problems, encourage better collaboration, and understand the “art of the possible.” Their problem statement was to “Explore how AI can help tailor our customer experience and improve team productivity.” This allowed teams to really focus on AI-based solutions and how they could apply them to their day-to-day lives in ways that they had never considered before. New Case Study Available! This time, we are deep-diving into Hackathons with our amazing retail partner, Waitrose & Partners. To start, what is a hackathon & why do organizations choose to run them? A Hackathon is where people collaborate to solve a problem or identify new opportunities. The word hackathon is a combination of “hack” and “marathon.” Hackathons are a great way to foster teamwork, solve problems, and generate creative solutions or product ideas. Summer Tech Camp '24 I Leicester 🇬🇧 This week, the Mindera - UK Foundation team wrapped up a 3-day Summer Tech Camp, where students from local secondary schools and sixth form colleges dived into a packed agenda of Cybersecurity, AI, Front-End Development, Web App Development and so much more! As part of the camp, we also headed to the Leicester Print Workshop for a talk on traditional print media and the impact of digital design tools and modern technology on the industry, as well as a trip to the Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre for a tour of their digital art and gaming exhibition, followed by a well-deserved lunch! 🥪 Feedback from students has so far been overwhelmingly positive and I honestly couldn't be prouder of how the camp has gone, as well as the impact its had for those attending! 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 - 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐎𝐧𝐞 🌟 In our next client case study, we highlight a milestone piece of work we have been doing for Trainline, Europe’s most downloaded #railtravel app. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐎𝐧𝐞 is Trainline Partner Solutions’ (TPS) industry-leading technology platform, powering ticket retailing for #Trainline and multiple Train Operating Companies (TOCs) as well as B2B agreements across the UK and Europe. We worked closely with TPS to migrate existing TOC clients from their legacy system onto Platform One. The project is TPS’ biggest undertaking and was no easy feat.
