🤝 We’re very proud to have entered into a new partnership with leading Icelandic airline, PLAY airlines at Madeira Airport (FNC) in Portugal. The ground handling team at FNC are supporting a brand-new flight between Madeira and Keflavík International Airport (KEF) in Iceland. The direct route will operate every Tuesday, with the inaugural flight successfully taking place last month. ✈️ The Reykjavík-based PLAY Airlines is a low-cost carrier that operates routes between North America and Europe, using KEF as its hub. 🙌 We’re thrilled to confirm that the roll-out of our Menzies Aviation Cargo Handling (MACH) cargo management system will be extended to 28 new stations in 2025. 📆 In partnership with leading technology services and consulting company Wipro, this pioneering, end-to-end system has been deployed at 24 locations in 2024, with a further 13 airports on track to go live over the coming months. Since its launch in November 2023, MACH has successfully managed 150,000 tonnes of cargo, serving more than 3,000 end users. 👋 Say hello to Anamaria Nica, Flight Supervisor at London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR).   👩🏫 As part of her role, Anamaria conducts daily operational briefings to ensure that she and her colleagues are ready to help passengers during the check-in process. She also assists in coordinating cleaning and re-fuelling processes, helping everything run on time.    Anamaria says that it is her colleagues that make the company such a special place to work. “I am so grateful to have met the kindest and most supportive people in this job. My best friends today are people I’ve met here,” she says. 💙   📽 Anamaria is particularly proud to have starred in both our new Menzies Front of House uniform teaser and our 2024 career video series, sharing her experiences as a Flight Supervisor. 🎉Congratulations to the Air Menzies International (AMI) team in Australia for successfully assisting with a facility integration project for Danish shipping and logistics company, A.P. Moller - Maersk. 🤝 Having worked in partnership for several years, Maersk appointed AMI to maintain a high level of customer service while the company transferred their operations to new facilities in Melbourne and Sydney. 🌏 Since spring this year, AMI has delivered a diverse range of services to Maersk customers, including X-ray screening and bonded warehouse, container unpacking and cross docking services. 🗣 In its testimonial, Maersk says: “Throughout this program we have strengthened our relationship with AMI and feel confident they will be ready the next time Maersk may need to call upon its trusted partner once again.” ⭐Congratulations to the team for their hard work and commitment to providing high-quality air freight wholesaler services. Earlier this week, a delegation from Menzies travelled to Türkiye for this year’s Aviation Services Association_ World Leadership Forum. This important industry gathering brings together aviation leaders to network, collaborate and share ideas. 💡 Our team was proud to represent Menzies at our busy exhibition stand, and the three-day event offered our customers the chance to attend a dedicated event hosted by Lukasz Skorupa. 🤝 🗣 Our Executive Chairman, Hassan El-Houry joined The Presidents’ Future Playbook panel to share his insights on the future direction of the industry. During a wide-ranging conversation, the panel discussed the need for a more structured approach to regulation, with Hassan making the case for a move towards minimum standards. 👋 Say hello to joao paulo amoroso, Customer Service Agent at London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR). Covering early morning shifts, Joao helps passengers check-in and board their flight. During any one shift, he can find himself arranging special assistance, checking-in specialist sports equipment or even overseeing the paperwork required for pets to fly! 🐶 For Joao, it’s the inclusive culture that makes Menzies such a great place to work: “As someone who is disabled, I have always felt very well supported by my colleagues, including managers. 👏 Congratulations to our colleagues at Orlando International Airport (MCO), who recently participated in United Airlines' Rise Against Hunger project. 🍽 Teaming up with colleagues from Alaska Airlines, the group set out to pack 15,000 meals to support the global fight against hunger. By midday, this had been surpassed, meaning that the day’s target could be extended to a staggering 30,000 meals. This food has since been distributed by Rise Against Hunger to locations around the world, including Haiti, the Philippines and South Africa. 🌍 Well done to everybody who contributed to the success of this fantastic initiative. 🌟 #MenziesAviation #PeoplePassionPride #RiseAgainstHunger #ItStartsWithAMeal #HungerChampions #MCO
