We know that #diversity and #inclusion are crucial in ensuring workplaces thrive. The data repeatedly shows, year after year, that inclusive workplaces are more profitable and more innovative, and that they retain staff for longer and make better decisions. Our Gender Representation Report found that 53% of people working in the meat industry think that inclusion has moved up the agenda, but there is more progress that we need to make in this space. Regardless of gender, age, race or background we all need to work together to bring about positive change in gender balance ⚖ Each of us must step up, play our part and support one another to make collective change. This is #ThePowerOfUs ✨ 🙌 💥What will your impact be?💥 Avara Foods 2 Sisters Food Group ABP UK ABP Ireland & Poland Cargill Coles Group Cranswick Country Foods PLC Coveris Group Dunbia Group Hilton Food Solutions Hilton Foods UK Kepak Group Klöckner Pentaplast ABP Linden Morrisons Moy Park OSI Group Pilgrim's UK Lumachain , Thomas Food Group Ltd. Wow, what a way to finish our UK face to face events this year! We can honestly say we’re blown away at every event by the passion, knowledge and dedication that’s present in our community. It’s so uplifting to see delegates sharing their skills, learning and helping to make the industry a more inclusive place to be! Our keynote speaker Richard Wood, Tesco delivered a brilliant session, talking all things imposter syndrome and the lessons he's learnt from leading through adversity. He reminded our community to ✨ Look our for the opportunities amongst challenges ✨ Know that adversity can happen to anyone, in any role so having a proactive plan of action is key to managing it Thank you to Helen Sisson, who shared her experiences in building fantastic teams, as well as Hannah Cargill, Saiqa Aslam MSc FIFST & Eva McHugh for sharing their incredible career stories of resilience, passion and hard work. & our wonderful facilitator Janie van Hool made sure no one went away without new connections! What a way to end our 2024 UK events calendar! And with that in mind, we’re well underway with our 2025 event calendar. Tickets for our annual conference will be on sale before the end of the year✨ A huge thank you to the fantastic HSBC team, including Adam R Phillips and Allan Wilkinson and everyone that came along and made our Speed Networking event such a success. #MeatBusinessWomen #GenderBalance #Womeninthefoodindustry

✨ What a fantastic day in Perth for our Communication Skills for the Future workshop! ✨ Today, we had our largest turnout yet for the series, and the room was buzzing with excitement. It was a great opportunity for our WA-based attendees to network, share insights, and learn together. 💼🤝 Some key takeaways from the session included: - Leading with your values to build trust and find common ground with others. - Authenticity over promotion – being yourself is the key to meaningful connections. - Listening for others' values as a way to foster better communication and understanding. Although our Sydney workshop is officially sold out, we still have two tickets available for our Brisbane workshop on 23rd October. If you want to join this empowering series, now's your chance! Don't miss out! 💥🎟️ https://lnkd.in/gtUJMPC3 A huge thank you of course to our facilitators from AgCommunicators and Meat & Livestock Australia, as well as Commonwealth Bank for the use of their fantastic facilities.

Harvard Business Review tells us that over 50's are fastest growing workplace group in the UK. People are working longer and retiring later. So how do we ensure that women who are going through the menopause feel supported, represented and have their needs met? And how do we engage male colleagues? During #MenopauseAwarenessMonth, join the Avara Foods team for this Member's Masterclass as they share how they have build a solid support system, raised awareness and brought team members along with them. Ideal if you're interested in understanding how to create a menopause friendly workplace for all colleagues, whether a woman struggling to manage their menopause symptoms, male colleagues or line managers. 🚀 What an incredible day at our Communication Skills for the Future workshop in Melbourne! 🌟 This is the first in a series of workshops that we are hosting across Australia and a great way to kick things off. We dove deep into strategies to leverage industry resources and effectively address stakeholder concerns using trusted data, reports, and insights. The **Listen, Ask, Share** communication model proved to be a game-changer, fostering transparent and meaningful dialogues. Harnessing the public's strong trust in Australian farmers, attendees gained actionable tools for crafting authentic messaging that truly resonate. Expert insights into social media helped our participants sharpen their digital strategies and boost engagement. This workshop was a fantastic networking opportunity, bringing together industry leaders committed to highlighting the value and sustainability of the meat sector. Future-focused leadership insights empowered attendees to drive positive change and lead with confidence. Thanks to our partners and to for hosting us at the state of the art fully automated wool handling facility. The tour was a highlight. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success! 🙌
