🌺 TEN YEARS OF POPPIES 🌺 We are so proud to mark our tenth consecutive year supporting the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal by displaying poppies on all our trucks for the duration of November. The iconic memorial symbol serves as a reminder to motorists nationwide of the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community. The Royal British Legion has been instrumental in supporting the Armed Forces community since the first Poppy Appeal in 1921, and we are honoured to aid their vital work. Special thanks to the amazing drivers and staff who volunteered this weekend to fit poppies to over 1,000 vehicles across our 41 sites. Maritime Transport make an electrifying order of thirteen Mercedes-Benz Trucks eActros 600 ⚡ Leading logistics operator Maritime Transport Ltd have placed an order of thirteen electric-powered eActros 600 following a tour of our Wörth Plant production site in Germany. Maritime’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Tom Williams was recently welcomed to the factory, where he oversaw the entire production process of a truck, from the start to the finished product. The business will receive their new electric trucks next year, from Motus Truck & Van; The new additions will support the business’ sustainability goal of operating the cleanest full-load supply chain in the country. What a fantastic celebration of all things #maritime this year’s Mersey Maritime Industry Awards was last Friday in the iconic surroundings of Liverpool Cathedral! We were delighted to welcome over 450 guests to the tenth annual MMIAs to cast a spotlight on all that makes our industry so significant and the foundation for so much else in the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority area and #NorthWest economy. The awards mark the culmination of many months of preparation. This year, a record number of outstanding companies and individuals submitted applications, leading to a highly competitive finalist stage and marking a significant achievement for the UK’s maritime sector. A record-breaking 3,000 votes were cast in the industry wide vote. Huge thanks to well-known media personality, Lucy Meacock, who acted as our ‘host’ on the night and to all those who played a part in helping us to deliver this incredible and special event. Special congratulations to our 'Maritime Ambassador' for 2024, Jim Graves B.E.M., and the much sought after accolade of Business of the Year, Cammell Laird. Ten years ago today, we planted our flag in Felixstowe with the opening of our brand-new, five-storey headquarters, ‘Maritime House’, on Clickett Hill Road. To mark the occasion, we thought we’d share some pictures, including our view of the Port of Felixstowe! This office has been a hub for innovation and growth over the past decade. There has been so many exciting developments at Maritime but this building has remained a constant base providing world-class facilities for our amazing drivers and staff.
