Malvern Panalytical is delighted to have been recognized as a key innovator by the European Commission's Innovation Radar for our role in the project PAT4Nano (Process Analytical Technology Tools for Real-Time Physical and Chemical Characterization of Nanosuspensions). The objective of the EU-funded project was to develop new technologies for particle size measurement. The PAT4Nano tools will provide continuous, rapid, and reliable real-time data to enable more comprehensive process information than current offline measurements, enabling manufacturers to obtain insights into the fundamental dynamics of nanoparticle-based processes, and enabling the user to cease processing once the target size has been achieved. As a project partner, we developed a flow loop for the Mastersizer, enabling sampling and dilution from a mill creating nanosuspensions. The adapted Mastersizer can size nanosuspensions from the feed (where particles are approximately 100 microns) to the end (where they are around 80 nanometres). The increased quantity and quality of real-time data will help to increase the quality, efficiency and sustainability of nanomaterial production. Article just published by Technology Networks: Paving the Way Towards a Safer Future With XRF Analysis Innovative XRF techniques for detecting heavy metals in dried blood spot samples are helping to create a cleaner, healthier world. Just a 5 minute read: Aaron Specht, assistant professor at Purdue University, and Stephen Williams senior application specialist at Malvern Panalytical, explain how innovative XRF techniques for detecting heavy metals in dried blood spot samples are helping to create a cleaner, healthier world. Huge thanks to Aaron for conducting the research and looking closely at the potential dangers of toxic metal exposure on public health. This article also shares some information on research underway to investigate the link between toxic element exposure and Alzheimer’s disease risk. If you’re interested in views on traditional techniques for blood spot analysis such as inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) versus newer XRF techniques – then read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/e-_5sdQz #XRFAnalyzer #AnalyticalTools #LabQualityResults #PortableXRF #AdvancedTechnology #RapidAnalysis #FieldTesting #CuttingEdgeTech #Elementalanalysis #MalvernPanalytical #toxicmetalsresearch #alzheimersresearch
