#Gamescom 2024 - best one yet. This year marked MLC's debut at the UK stand at Gamescom, and let’s just say - we’re ready for the sequel! Team MLC is super proud of our Rhianna Ford and Hannah G. for raising funds (and exceeding target) for the incredible SpecialEffect by completing the London 10K run last Sunday! Props to the SpecialEffect team for all their efforts in getting this organised. Collectively, the SE runners have raised over £23,000! Huge well done to everyone involved. "We can't thank everyone enough for your incredibly kind donations for our London 10k run in aid of the incredible SpecialEffect. In those tougher moments around the 6k to 8k mark and that final km...reminding ourselves why we're doing this, and the money we raised, spurred us on immensely. Big well done to the fellow SpecialEffect runners (approx 200 of us!). What a week! Develop:Brighton continues to be one of our favourite events. It was made even better this year due to 3 things in particular: 1 - We had a whole herd of our remote MLC team together IRL to enjoy the event (and many a drink...). 2 - Our new MLC Zone was a hit! Big shout out to the fantastic teams at Dead Nice Studio, 1minus1, SpecialEffect, Wiggin, Game Studio Training and Sponge Hammer Limited who came and hosted their meetings here. We've already booked the space for next year as it was perfect to have this space for some quieter, professional meetings whilst getting away from the hustle and bustle at the venue. 3 - We had so much fun at the well-organised Game Dev Heroes awards night celebrating our fantastic Producer Laura Sharp's nomination for the Rising Star category. Credit to our MLC crew for making this year particularly special!
