Better Mental Health For All
About us
The aim of our work is to help people build on their strengths, overcome obstacles, and become more in control of their lives. We have faith and optimism in our clients and so the services we deliver are built around their needs. We support the people of Leeds to discover their own resources to ‘recover’ from periods of poor mental health, and to live life independently with their mental health condition. Leeds Mind promotes positive mental health and wellbeing, and provides help and support to those who need it. We offer many services, including: counselling, group therapy, social support, peer support, self directed support, social prescribing, housing support, employment support, suicide bereavement support, and mental health training. 1 in 4 people experience mental health difficulties at some point in their lives. Whether that be depression, anxiety, stress, self harm, personality disorder, bereavement or any other negative mental health experience, Leeds Mind are here for you.

This week is Befriending Week! The Leeds Mind Befriending service supports people over the age of 50 in Leeds. We offer one-to-one befriending partnerships with a like-minded befriending volunteer. With a befriender, people can do lots of things, such as have a chat, go for a walk or tackle an issue they feel is holding them back. Some great progress has been made by people using our befriending service. These achievements are something to celebrate. Head over to our blog to read about what our befrienders and their clients have been up to. https://lght.ly/27bjf5

October has been ADHD Awareness Month! Awareness is all about getting conversations started and creating opportunities to learn from each other. We have facilitated this with a range of workshops and sessions over the last month. From Tea and Talk meets to online focus groups, we've been getting everyone talking, and sharing experiences and resources. By getting these conversations out in the open, we are able to support ourselves and others who have ADHD better - both in and out of the workplace.
