We are heartbroken. Our colleague and dear friend, Dawn Lossau, passed away over the weekend. Dawn has been a huge part of the Leathes Prior family for 17 years and she was loved and loving in equal measure. We have shared the difficult journey of Dawn and her husband, Darrell, when their beautiful and much-loved daughter, Maisie was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2016. Their care and campaigning for Maisie and other seriously ill children has been inspirational, humbling and, yes … awesome. We are proud to count Dawn as one of our own and as we mourn her loss, we remember her compassion, her sense of humour (and unmistakeable laugh) and the countless moments of joy she brought to our lives. Dawn wore her heart on her sleeve and has certainly left her mark, and a bit of colour on the world (#bemoremaisie 💜💚). We will miss her sorely - she will remain ever in our hearts. We send our deepest condolences to Dawn’s husband Darrell, and their loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. Whilst we take time to process this incredibly heavy loss we will, as a firm, find a way to best assist Darrell and honour Dawn’s memory and her significant legacy.
