INTRODUCING: 'Beyond 5 Senses: Awaken Your Sensory Superpowers' Our Audible Original Podcast exploring the hidden world of our supersenses. After 18 months of research, development and production, we’re thrilled to launch the show for Mental Health Awareness Week. The senses are unveiling new potentials for how we can care for ourselves, so we designed the show as an experiential wellbeing resource. We uncover how when we tap more deeply into our senses, we can turn them into superpowers to enhance health, creativity, states of connection and feel more alive in the world. Created and presented by Katherine and Robyn, each of the 7 episodes digs into a different sense including ones you know, and some you never even knew you had. We meet miraculous human interest stories, and some of the world’s leading scientists including Anil Seth, Aikaterini -Katerina Fotopoulou, Marta Čeko, Audrey Vanhaudenhuyse, Sahib Khalsa, Rona Geffen and Rachel Herz The show celebrates the diversity of each of our sensory experiences, shedding light that we each perceive our sensory world in our own unique way, to help build compassion, empathy and understanding. Dig in. We're so excited to share this with you all. Available globally, only on #Audible. Earlier this week, we had the privilege of being featured in two articles that both touched on a fascinating subject - how art, in its many forms, can trigger awe, and how that shapes our brains and our experiences. Robyn Landau spoke to Charlotte Krol for Digital Frontier about whether overexposure to generative AI art dulls our sense of the sublime. While AI art offers endless creative possibilities, it also comes with the risk of saturation—could this abundance lessen our ability to experience true wonder? “Ultimately, Landau says, achieving awe comes down to a "balance" of digital consumption with more natural or analogue, IRL experiences. If there's one thing she would advise people to do to whip up those feelings of the sublime, it's to become more open to, and more aware of, what's already around us." Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eKABWjqw Meanwhile, Katherine Templar Lewis was interviewed for Good Housekeeping on the positive impact art has on our health. They also explored how awe plays a crucial role in our relationship with art: “Scientific assessments have shown that when we feel awe – for instance, when we see an outrageously beautiful view – the process causes a disruption in the brain; people who have been awestruck by a piece of art are often kinder to others and feel more connected to nature, themselves and their emotions.” Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eQ5NTuKu While technology offers new ways to experience awe, it reminds us that balance is key in nurturing a deep connection to the world around us. 💭 What do you think? How have different forms of art—whether digital or traditional—sparked feelings of awe for you?
