It was a pleasure to attend the KidsOut charity ambassadors event at the Royal Exchange Plc yesterday evening. We are proud to continue our work with KidsOut, a charity that helps families escaping domestic violence in and around London. In the coming year, we’re boosting our annual donation of KidZania tickets to 2,000, so more children and their carers can experience KidZania for themselves. From 2nd December to 7th January, KidZanian visitors are invited to donate some of their kidZos to KidsOut at the end of their visit and we will match it, so more children in need will benefit in the coming year. We will also be hosting one of KidsOut's famous Giving Trees at our Airport check-in. Just take a tag from the tree and scan the QR code to purchase a Christmas present for a KidsOut child online so that children in refuges this Christmas don’t miss out on a gift with their name on it. This week is our Careers Festival, running until Saturday this week. We’ve already been joined by industry professionals from Metropolitan Police, ITV News, British Airways, Mail Metro Media, UK Home Office, Dorsett Shepherds Bush, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Bright Little Labs, ELMS Sports Foundation and Love Da Beat Radio hosting talks, workshops and presentations that bring to life their sectors to help our primary and secondary-aged school visitors, and children with their families, consider a career in these areas. We were also pleased to welcome Joshua (see video) who has a passion and dream to become a commercial airline pilot. He visited our Aviation Academy when he was 13, getting hands-on experience in landing a plane in our flight simulator. This boosted his confidence in his dream to become a Pilot which has now led him to become an apprentice with British Airways and win The Air League Flying Scholarship in 2022. We are so lucky to have industry talent share their experience and advice about being TV reporters, journalists, surgeons, sports professionals and civil servants in the real world.
