Congratulations to JM's Gareth Hart who has been awarded the prestigious Industrial Fellowship by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 👏 Gareth has been recognised for the potential his work has to make an outstanding contribution to industry, designing a new efficient catalyst with reduced iridium for #hydrogen production, making generation more #sustainable. Gareth said: “I am incredibly grateful to the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 for funding this project and seeing the potential for significant impact as a result of the research. The fellowship offers a unique opportunity to develop professionally, strengthen external collaborations and create new intellectual property for JM.” Elizabeth Rowsell OBE CChem FRSC, Chief Technology Officer, said: "I'm absolutely delighted that Gareth has been awarded the Industrial Fellowship - it is a well-deserved recognition of his dedication, hard work and commitment to science and research. We're extremely proud that he is part of our JM community."

You ask, we answer 📽️ From designing plants, to improving operations, #JMengineers work every day to find the world-changing solutions that are contributing towards solving the planet's biggest environmental challenges. - What will make this process more efficient? - How do we make this safer? No matter the question, our engineers find the answers. 🙌 And when we ask them the really difficult questions, like: - Who would you invite to a dinner party? - What would you be if you weren't an engineer? They still find the answers. 👀 Interested in joining our team of engineers? Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eg7z_HxP #catalysingnetzero

Celebrating an award-winning hydrogen combustion engine model 🚛 🏆 Anish K. Taneja, Clean Air’s Chief Executive, was alongside MAN Truck & Bus SE at IAA TRANSPORTATION in Germany this week, celebrating the Truck Innovation Award for their new small series hydrogen combustion engine model, of which JM is the proud exhaust aftertreatment technical partner. Transportation is fundamental to keeping economies and societies moving, with ~6.5M HGVs carrying almost 80% of land freight by road in Europe. Overall, road freight accounts for 25% of CO2 emissions in the sector, presenting a major opportunity for decarbonisation. Hydrogen combustion engines are one solution in areas without EV charging infrastructure, or markets where hydrogen is already available. A great example of JM supporting our customers in sustainable technologies for a cleaner, brighter future 🤝

Some important findings on the hydrogen economy launched by Hydrogen Council in their 2024 insights report. The global #hydrogen industry can now report $75bn in capital committed for new projects!   The global hydrogen project pipeline has grown seven-fold since 2020, reaching more than 1,500 projects across the world.   While the shift from project announcement to implementation progresses, the report also warns that the pace and scale of deployment must accelerate dramatically to hit global climate goals. Policies and targets set out by governments around the world will also be key, and we're looking forward to being on the ground at both The Labour Party and The Conservative Party conferences in the coming weeks, as part of the Hydrogen Zone.
