Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone and a bittersweet farewell as we say goodbye to Phil Hill, who retires after 30 years with the JD Group. Reflecting on his journey, Phil shared: “I joined JD in 1994 as Branch Manager of Branch 25 on Oxford Street, and soon progressed to Area Manager. My career truly took flight in 2000, when I was asked to establish our first People Development team - JD’s Training Team. Since 2014, I’ve been setting up teams as JD expanded internationally, traveling the world and connecting with incredible colleagues along the way. Lastly, I’ve had the honor and privilege over this past year of supporting the JD Foundation as part of my journey to retirement.” Phil, your dedication, leadership, and passion for people have left an enduring legacy. Thank you for 30 years of inspiring service. 💛🖤 Here’s to a well-deserved retirement filled with new adventures!

We’re proud to bring Move to Zero back to 93300, Aubervilliers, Paris 🇫🇷 A true community project empowering local youth aged 14-25 through sport, career development, and mentorship. This year’s event featured pitch renovations, women’s and men’s football and basketball tournaments, and a “Play Zone” with speed radar, strength tests, and prizes. Plus, CV workshops, a careers fair, and design sessions connected young people with career pathways. At JD, we’re inspired by this community’s resilience and shared goals. Standing Together for Change: Show Racism the Red Card 🟥 Last week, we were thrilled to see our JD colleagues wearing red in support of Show Racism the Red Card! This Black History Month, the JD Foundation proudly donated £5,000 to support its incredible work in combating racism through education, events and programs. JD colleagues also had the opportunity to experience inspiring words, creativity and a strong sense of community from a brilliant spoken word artist who visited the team in Bury. The artist brought this year’s "Reclaiming Narratives" theme to life through a powerful slam poetry performance. JD UP London: Empowering the Next Gen and Having a Blast Along the Way 💥 Hosted at Evolution London, this JD Foundation-funded event was designed to inspire and empower the next generation. We invited 3,000 Year 10 students from 27 schools, diving deep into the world of JD with hands-on experiences across 18 JD departments including Retail, Digital, Marketing, Merchandising, and more. With 180 JD colleagues volunteering their time, students got an inside look at what it takes to succeed in the world of work. 💼 The vibe was electrified with Sturdy off’s live performance, and Sky Sports’ Kyle Walker kept the energy flowing as host of our auditorium sessions. Our amazing charity partners, YoungMinds, Kidscape, and 12 others, helped engage students with powerful messages on mental health and support. Plus, activities like ‘Design A Duffle Bag’ and our mini JD retail store brought the experience to life, showcasing the creativity and fun that powers JD. Massive shout-out to Avery Dennison, Argenbright Security Europe Limited - ASEL, Thruvision, KIWI design Ltd, Innovate Signs Limited , Wincanton and Evoke Creative and congratulations to everyone who helped make JD UP such a success!
