IMO is committed to fostering a more inclusive and equitable maritime industry, but we need your help! The IMO - WISTA International Women in Maritime 2024 Survey is now open, providing a crucial opportunity to gather baseline data on the representation of women in maritime and oceans fields. If you work at a company, non-governmental/intergovernmental organisation, or a private maritime training institute or academy, this survey needs the data from your organisation. By participating, you're contributing to a global effort to address gender disparities and promote gender equality within our industry. Why is this survey important? Tracking changes: As the survey is run every three years, this allows stakeholders to track progress and identify gaps where more resources are needed. Data-Driven Insights: The survey results will provide objective data to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities for advancing women's careers in maritime. Informed Decision-Making: Organisations can use this data to develop targeted strategies for improving gender diversity and inclusion. Industry-Wide Impact: As this survey gathers information on organisations working in various maritime sectors, it creates an accurate snapshot of our industry as a whole and can drive meaningful change. Please note: Each organisation should only take the survey once and it should be filled out by the person in charge of the Human Resources or Personnel for your organisation. Let's make a difference together. Share this post and encourage your organisation to participate in the IMO WISTA 2024 Survey. Help shape the future of women in maritime!
