25 years ago, British Airways joined American Airlines, Canadian Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Qantas to form the oneworld Alliance. Iberia joined the following year. When the alliance launched, the airlines published a manifesto: 'the oneworld Alliance is about people not planes'. And that remains true today. So this week our CEO Luis Gallego and teams from across IAG joined oneworld Alliance customers and partners to celebrate this anniversary at a special event in #London. #oneworld25 #InternationalAirlinesGroup

Last week we hosted our annual Demo Day which brought together 13 start-ups from our Hangar 51 Accelerator programme. In its eighth year, it's a platform to identify, support, and scale the most promising technologies for the aviation industry. We're announcing a new Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) agreement with producer Infinium. Our airlines will take delivery of Infinium’s power-to-liquid e-SAF from late 2026. Produced from water, waste CO2 and renewable energy, e-SAF is expected to reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 90% compared to today’s conventional jet fuel. We remain on track to deliver our 10% 2030 SAF goal, and agreements with innovators like Infinium are key to us reaching this target.
