About us
In Kind Direct is the UK's leading product giving specialist, inspiring product giving for social good up and down the country. We work with not-for-profit organisations and companies to help ensure that everyone has access to life's essentials and that no usable product goes to waste. We achieve this by distributing usable products donated by some of the UK's best known manufacturers and retailers to a network of charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations in the UK. We provide a one-stop solution for companies with goods to donate - from toiletries, cleaning products and toys, to office supplies, household goods and clothes. Since foundation by HM King Charles III in 1996, we have distributed over £346 million in value of products from over 1,339 companies. 15,000 UK charities have benefited by receiving products, helping over 365,000 people each week.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Buy 2, Donate 1 Hygiene Poverty campaign in April and May in hundreds of Tesco stores across the country. Your support will help us in our mission to reduce hygiene poverty in the UK. This campaign unlocked 1.3 million donations in a range of personal care categories including andrex, Aquafresh, Bodyform, Corsodyl, Kleenex, Persil, Radox, Sensodyne, Tresemme, TENA and Wilkinson Sword. These donations really do make a HUGE difference to people who are facing impossible decisions to eat, heat and keep clean everyday: "I can't express the difference the hygiene products have made to me and my family. Some of my financial burdens have been taken away" "My children feel much happier going to school knowing they have a clean uniform & hygiene products to keep them clean." Together, we're making a difference to thousands of people living in hygiene poverty across the UK 🧡

This #InternationalDayOfClimateAction, we're celebrating one of our core beliefs, that improving lives shouldn't cost the Earth. We want to highlight some of our amazing corporate partners who donate sustainable products, helping us to do our part to take care of our planet, whilst ensuring communities across the UK have access to essential products. - Vegware have supported 300+ charitable organisations in our network with donations of nearly 900,000 sustainable items including cups, meal trays and soup containers. - Ruby Cup are a new corporate partner and have already donated 600 reusable menstrual cups this year, supporting 20 organisations so far. We can't wait to see the impact we can make together on both the planet and our network. - Bodyform are committed to donating their sustainable reusable period pants, so far donating over 16,000 pants this year, supporting over 700 charitable organisations. Thank you so much for your support! If you have sustainable products to donate, please get in touch at [email protected]

No young person should feel unprepared for their period, worried about leaking, or ashamed to ask for help. Our latest polling with Essity found that secondary school teachers believe that an average of 43% of students struggle to access their own period products and 35% are aware of students missing school while on their period. We're calling for the Period Product Scheme in schools to be extended beyond July 2025, alongside support for schools to provide comprehensive and timely menstrual health education. Our Customer Service Team were recently invited to attend the Tamworth Funding Fair to spread the word about what we do and how we can enable charitable organisations' funds to go further. The event had a great turn out and the team were able to engage with amazing organisations who are eager to join In Kind Direct's network and access a range of essential products to support their communities. Thank you Claire Ferris for providing such a warm welcome to the event and we hope to visit again soon!

We've been busy in our warehouse recently with Estée Lauder The Phoenix Group, Capgemini and TOTM who very kindly volunteered their time to help pack nearly 5,000 washbags to support the Washbag’s Programme. We’re proud to be working in partnership with Her Majesty The Queen to provide a wash bag to victims of rape and sexual abuse, through Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) across the UK. Each bag contains personal care items kindly donated by Boots UK providing essentials such as shampoo, shower gel and toothpaste, which represent a small gesture of comfort during a highly distressing time. Huge thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers who helped, these wash bags will make a significant difference 🧡
