🏆 We're thrilled to share that the Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's Redevelopment Programme has been nominated for the Refurbishment Project of the Year at the IHEEM Awards! 🏆 This project, led by KIER Construction and with the Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as clients, is making a significant impact on healthcare in the region. The redevelopment addresses healthcare inequality, enhances patient experience, and positions the Trust as a regional leader in elective and diagnostic care. Our team are proud to work as Contract Administrator and Advisor to the Trust, alongside Keelagher Okey Klein, who are delivering the Cost Consultant/Advisor role. Together, we've repurposed spaces and implemented innovative solutions that are not only improving healthcare outcomes but also reducing backlogs. To date, over 50,000 additional diagnostic tests have been conducted! We’re honored to be part of a project that’s truly making a difference. Last week, our team had an absolute blast organising a sports day for Manchester Youth Zone's summer sessions! 🏅 The kids got to dive into the classics—egg and spoon race, sack race, tug of war, and more. Good luck to our Director, Paul Roberts who takes on his first Ironman challenge this weekend! 💪🏼🏊♂️🩲🚵♂️🏃♂️
9 months ago as part of our commitment to our charity partner, Manchester Youth Zone, I decided to use this as a push to see if I could finally get myself to the start line and complete an IRONMAN triathlon! 8 months later and with hundreds of training hours logged (while also trying to learn to swim properly 😬) I'm now 3 weeks away from the event on 18th August! There have been lots of ups and downs and trying to fit the volume of training needed in around family, work and life in general definitely hasn’t been easy but it looks like I'm going to get there! So to help with the final push through the last few weeks of training and the day itself which consists of a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km marathon to finish, I'm going to see how much money I can raise to support the great work that MYZ do for kids who really need their help in north Manchester. Whilst talent is evenly distributed, opportunity unfortunately is not….…but with MYZ's skilled team and ‘see it to believe it’ facilities – they’re here to level the playing field for young people. As a business we are raising money across a number of events to support the great work MYZ do. We have seen first-hand the impact hey have on young people's lives and as well as raising money we are volunteering our help throughout the year to support their activities with young people.
