This week, we were excited to host our first-ever roundtable in Malaysia - bringing together leading industry experts to discuss the evolving landscape of alternative investments and their role in shaping modern investment portfolios. In addition to examining investment models and strategies, the event featured practical case studies and expert insights into asset allocation, diversification, and the impact of alternative strategies. This roundtable provided invaluable opportunity for collaboration and thought leadership within the global investment community. Today in New York, Investor Chapter Members and Signatories of the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI) came together for a joint Regulatory, Legal & Compliance Masterclass. Today’s session was kindly hosted by Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Attendees heard about regulatory enforcement trends, developments in off-channel communications, investor and manager expectations in the post-Private Fund Adviser Rule environment, and best practices related to co-investments. Special thanks to Christine Ayako Schleppegrell, Courtney Nowell, and their colleagues for their fantastic insights and support.

We kicked off the week in Hong Kong with 'A Fireside Chat with Priti Singh' SBAI Trustee and Chief Risk Officer of CPP Investments | Investissements RPC. The discussion, moderated by Sidney Ma, Managing Director of Springs Capital, focused on investment priorities, the outlook for emerging and evolving risks, and valuable career lessons.
