About us

The Healing Together programme offers comprehensive trauma-informed training specifically designed for frontline practitioners. This programme equips support staff with valuable insights into managing vicarious trauma and enhancing their overall wellbeing. By participating, practitioners gain practical strategies and ongoing support, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle the challenges they face in their roles. Since 2016, our team of experts has developed the Healing Together programmes, supporting children, parents, and carers nationally to access early trauma-informed help from trusted individuals in safe spaces. We believe that no child or family should be left behind, which is why we work closely with organizations and services across the country. The Healing Together programme was born out of a request from mothers recovering from domestic abuse who wanted suitable help for their children. These children were often labelled as ‘naughty’ and at risk of school exclusion. We believe that children and adults are more likely to begin their recovery journey if they have access to help from a safe, grounded adult who supports them in learning body-based calming tools. This helps them manage intense feelings when they feel unsafe. Our programme defines the trauma-informed approach we have adopted. Due to the increasing demand for trauma-informed training beyond domestic abuse, we have expanded our library to train more frontline practitioners to support a broader range of children, young people, parents, and carers. All programmes are inclusive of special educational needs, hearing difficulties, gender, ethnicity, disability, and sexuality.
